Woodpeckers Crafts seeks to improve product transparency with Tangiblee's comparison feature

Woodpeckers Crafts

Woodpeckers, a family-owned wooden craft retailer, has grown exponentially since their humble beginnings inside their home. Throughout the pandemic, Woodpeckers continued to prosper; however, as sales grew, returns did as well.

Woodpeckers sells multiple sizes of the same product which can make it difficult for customers to purchase the correct item. This causes an increase in returns which are costly in both time and money for the company.

Challenges: Reduce Returns Due to Size

Woodpeckers, like many e-commerce sites, struggles with returns due to customers’ inability to physically visualize, hold, and compare a product as they could in-store. Given that their product is specialized, and that size is a major proponent, it became evident that customers needed a way to estimate the size of the product online.

“Returns definitely held us back in a way,” remarked Shaindy Feldbrand, Conversion Copywriter and Optimizer. Woodpeckers wanted to be able to focus their efforts on providing more quality products to their customers rather than being bogged down by returns.

“When it comes to returns, a big part of it is size. Customers receive an item and it’s way smaller than they thought.” stated Bayla Lebowitz, Creative Design. “It is an intuitive step in the user journey to actually experience the product rather than just seeing a list of specs.”

Being a small family-owned company, Woodpeckers was looking for an easy solution that wouldn’t require too many resources. That’s when they found Tangiblee.

Enter Tangiblee: Provide Comparison Feature to Minimize Returns

Woodpeckers comparison feature with Tangiblee

Woodpeckers’ employee, Bayla Lebowitz, was browsing another one of Tangiblee’s clients for personal shopping and used the Comparison feature.

“I saw the PoweredBy Tangiblee logo and then I just emailed them,” remarked Bayla Lebowitz. “They got back to me right away and within a month everything was up and running.”

Tangiblee quickly crawled Woodpeckers website and required minimal resources from the team to get the solution up and running. The easy onboarding process was critical to Woodpeckers in order to start on target with other internal goals.

Woodpeckers decided not to go through the testing phase and implemented Tangiblee across their site within a month. Woodpeckers’ industry is a niche and size is the most important aspect of their products.
