Rules for Proper eCommerce Data Collection in Google Analytics
To ensure accurate eCommerce tracking and reporting in Google Analytics, the following conditions must be met:
- Google Analytics cookies are not blocked on the PDP and Thank You Page.
- The transaction is recorded within the same user session that began on the PDP.
- PDP events and TYP transactions are sent using the same GA Measurement ID.
In the Google Analytics Interface
- The TransactionId dimension:
- Has a non-empty value.
- Is unique (not duplicated).
- The ItemId dimension of each transaction has a non-empty value.
- The ItemRevenue metric of each transaction is greater than 0.
